CNRL Progress Plant

The Progress plant is located at 7-22-78-09W6M by Spirit River AB. It is an Amine plant with a LoCat system for sulfur recovery. The plant is a refrigeration plant with mycom compressors, and has NGL recovery as well as stabilized condensate, and oil. The facility has electric compression 500hp boost as well as 1500hp sales compressor. This facilities heat is generated by two 6500000 btu Parker boilers. The operating system running this plant is an Emerson Delta V.

Canlin Energy Wolverine

The Wolverine facility located at c-52-a/93-p-03, commenced operation in August 2006. At this location 13% sour gas is stripped of free liquids, which are trucked out and gas dehydration is achieved by way of Mole Sieve, the gas is compressed with a 1500 horsepower electric drive reciprocating compressor

Chinook Energy North Boundary

In North Boundary DOS operates for Chinook Energy. DOS has operated the 8-12-88-15W6M plant site and field since the facility’s construction in 2002. The 8-12 plant consists of a Waukesha 7042 screw compressor, 4 Ajax 2803 LE reciprocating compressors, 2 glycol dehydrators, an Amine sweetening unit for the plant fuel gas, 2 line heaters, and 2 instrument air compressors. The associated field also operated by DOS consists of 50 wells, of which, 20 are equipped with plunger lift systems, 3 with screw compressors and 1 with a pump jack.

Chinook Energy Martin Creek

The Martin Creek Sour Gas Plant is located at b-002-E/094-H-06. DOS has operated the facility since February, 2015.

Chinook Energy Black Conroy

The Black Conroy Comp Stn is located at b-094-J. DOS has operated the facility since February, 2015.

Our production operators have anywhere from 2-15 years of experience. They are fully trained and highly competent in their current positions. Each of our contractors is fully up-to-date on all safety tickets and the majority possesses Steam or Power Engineering Tickets.


Our Company

Dean’s Oilfield Services (DOS), a subsidiary of Mico Investments Inc, is a production operations company that is owned and operated by Dean Wilfur and has been in business for 25 years in Northeastern BC.

The company is based out of Dawson Creek, BC and primarily provides contracted plant operators for gas plants, along with oil and gas wells, to energy companies in the Peace Region. The company provides contracting services to several oil companies, including Centrica (previously Suncor), who has been a client for the past 20 years. Dean is proud to say that he has never had a lost time accident.

In addition, DOS currently holds a BC Certificate of Recognition (COR). The company can be found in the ComplyWorks, ISNet World, and PICS Auditing databases and is recognized as a BC local business through Energy Services BC.
